This year, for the first time, the Club held a Burns’ Night Supper. This was an excuse for members to put on their ‘glad rags’ and let their hair down. The evening involved a traditional Burns Night supper where the haggis was piped in, followed by the traditional Address to the Haggis. The supper menu included haggis, neeps and tatties, posh sausage casserole, vegetarian alternative, and Cranachan trifle.
After the meal, there was a Scottish themed quiz, provided by resident quizmaster and member, Matt Stringer.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all those that attended. The event is sure to be repeated next January.
