Congratulations to our Head Coach, Chris Taylor. Chris and his long-term partner, Louise, were married at Priston Mill, near Bath, on 22nd September. They honeymooned in Dubai and Mauritius. We wish them every happiness for the future.
The work on the Mundy Playing Field Car Park was completed within one week, as scheduled. There is a tarmac central roadway with compacted stone for the parking zones. This is a vast improvement. The annual Cancer Research UK charity tennis tournament and lunch was held on 5th September and raised £480 for this worthy cause. Thornbury Lawn Tennis Club held its first Tie Break Tens tournament on Saturday 8th July. Josh White has been brought in to strengthen the coaching team. Josh is a level 4 LTA Coach and will be a real asset for the Club. Taylor Tennis will be running their normal tennis programmes for adults and juniors through the Summer and will be looking to revitalise the existing programme of activities.
Tony Light has been helping the Club with aerial photography using his drone. An example of the photos is shown below. The photos will be used in the website and other promotional material. Additional photos and videos will be taken, hopefully with the courts fully occupied!
