There is no need to do anything until you receive an email requesting payment for your renewal.  It will look something like this:

If you already have a ClubSpark account, and have used it to book courts, then you should have no problem clicking on the link in the email and signing into ClubSpark.  You will then be taken to a page something like this, where the package you are being asked to pay for has a ‘JOIN NOW’ or ‘RENEW NOW’ link:

If you click on the ‘JOIN NOW’ or ‘RENEW NOW’ link, you will be taken to the Payment Options.  If you need any help with these, see the “Paying Your Subs” page under the Help menu.

Note that the amount you are being asked to pay will reflect the renewal cost rather than the full package cost.  For 2021 renewals, this will be 25% less than the full annual rate.

If you feel the amount you are being asked to pay is not correct, or you are feeling flush and would like to waive the 25% discount, then drop an email to thornburytennisclub@gmail.com or contact Linda the Membership Secretary.  She has superpowers and can change the amount you are being asked to pay.

Juniors are slightly more complicated to deal with in ClubSpark than Adults.  This is because each Junior must have an associated Parent/Guardian.  The Club cannot communicate directly with the Junior, so must contact the Parent/Guardian – and of course the Parent/Guardian has to fork out for the Junior’s membership fees.

So when the request for payment comes, it will come to the Parent/Guardian.  Something like this:

Note the bit at the bottom about using your details rather than those of the Junior.  That is important!

So click on the link as requested, and you should get something like this:

If you have got a ClubSpark account already – then sign in.  If not, then we recommend that you complete the details on the left and register for a ClubSpark account.  If you hit problems (and the most likely reason would be if you have already used your email address for a ClubSpark account in the name of a junior family member) then have a look at the Signing up to ClubSpark page under the Help menu.

If successful, you should see something like this.  Click to accept the T&C’s – after reading them carefully of course.

And now you get to your Summary page.  Here you will see all the membership packages that you are responsible for.  So if you are a member yourself, with two Junior offspring, you should see your own Adult or Off-Peak package, and a Junior package for each of the children.  In this example, there is just the one package, as the parent is not a member herself.

So hit the RENEW NOW link, to go to the Payment Options page.  See “Paying Your Subs” under the Help menu if you need any help with this.
